Qatar Charity has participated in a panel discussion on "Human Potential for Zakat and Islamic Charitable Action" organized by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva as part of the annual consultative meeting of non-governmental organizations.

Ahmed Saad Al Rumaihi, Head of International Partnerships at Qatar Charity, highlighted Qatar's humanitarian efforts, its various assistance to refugees and displaced people around the world, and the positive impact it has on their lives.

He also briefed the participants on Qatar Charity's innovative projects and initiatives such as the World Refugee and Displaced Persons' Initiative (WRS) around the world, aimed at providing quality education to refugees and displaced people through e-learning technologies, noting that it is characterized by providing solutions in education in conflict areas.

Al-Rumaihi pointed to the use of IRIS technology in Qatar Charity's cash assistance program. He explained that this technique has addressed the abuse of funds and ensured transparency in the distribution of funds and the receipt of financial assistance to beneficiaries through this innovative system.

He also referred to Qatar Charity's partnership with the UNHCR and its handling of the issue of donor confidence, which resulted in a joint campaign between Qatar Charity and UNHCR last Ramadan, which is part of the QC4HCR initiative launched to coordinate partnership and cooperation to achieve their common humanitarian objectives, primarily protecting displaced persons and refugees and seeking to provide them with a decent life in their countries or countries to which they have resorted.

Al-Rumaihi also spoke about the importance of local non-governmental organizations for international NGOs such as the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to act as an intermediary between donors and international non-governmental organizations, noting that Qatar Charity cares about quality control in the process of trust and transparency needed by donors using the social media networking websites such as applications and others.
