Qatar Academy Sidra (QA Sidra), part of Qatar Foundation's (QF) Pre-University Education, celebrated ‘Peace One Day’ on September 19 at the primary campus of the school, marking the 20th anniversary of the initiative.
Students of all grades and staff commemorated the day through their participation in a range of interactive activities to further develop their understandings of peace and non-violence. They learned about discoveries and inventions regarding medicine and water; explored the concept of balance and how it can be created or achieved; and researched art and music pieces that are aligned with peace.
The event saw QA Sidra join the rest of the world in acknowledging and celebrating the accomplishments that the world has witnessed and benefited from the ‘Peace One Day’ initiative.
