You've got to hand it to the scientist in the bellow video: No matter how sure he was about what would happen when he fired the gun at himself, it must still have been pretty damn scary to go through with it.

To demonstrate the difference between air and water resistance, Norweigan physicist Andreas Wahl decided to plonk himself in front of a submerged rifle and pull the trigger.

Thankfully, according to Mashable the bullet drifts harmlessly to the bottom of the pool without even reaching him — and the slow motion result looks surprisingly mesmerising.

Still, it's probably not one to try at home.
