The Youth Company is proud to announce the 9th edition of its Leadership Conference on youth empowerment and leadership. It will take place at the prestigious St. Regis hotel on the 26th and 27th of February. “The St Regis Doha is very honored to partner with The Youth Company on such and inspirational event to motivate Doha’s young leaders and future entrepreneurs”, says Tareq Derbas, the General Manager of St. Regis.
The conference will host 100 delegates from all various backgrounds, ages 14 to 20. It will revolve around the theme “A Better Tomorrow”. It aims to develop leadership skills among youth through a series of interactive workshops, panel discussions and learning activities in an attempt to inspire the youth of the Arab world to become leaders for a better tomorrow.
The first day of the conference will require delegates to take part in exciting and diverse workshops, which will be administered by experienced trainers. The workshops are divided into 6 different topics: How to be a Global Citizen, Foundations of Leadership, Social Responsibility, Team Development, Public Speaking and Project Managing.
On the second day of the conference, delegates will be separated into groups. Each group will receive a business model canvas that they are required to follow. Groups will have to strategize and implement a specific prompt and present it to a panel of judges. It will then be critiqued during their presentation based on the detailed judging outline. The winning group will receive a special gift. There is also a two-night stay voucher with breakfast at the St. Regis hotel to be given to the overall best delegate.
“We’re proud to be supporting The Youth Company in developing and nurturing the talents and skills of upcoming leaders. Leadership is earned with the right attitude, mindset and hard work and it was so inspiring to see the young attendees enthusiastically engaged to learn that. The Vodafone Falla Club is all about helping the youth to be successful in what they love and as a result achieve the extraordinary and this event is certainly one additional step to reach that.” says Zeina Abu Issa, Senior Manager of Events & Sponsorships at Vodafone Qatar, who will be joining the panel discussion on “Leadership Drives Growth”.

The speakers also include Carolin Zeitler - Founder of How Women Work, Charles Nolan - Vice President of Strategy Governance Innovation at Qatar Airways, and Tareq Derbas - General Manager of St. Regis.
Since its debut in 2012, The Youth Company Leadership Conference has been providing a platform to more than 780 students as they start their journey to become future leaders for a better tomorrow. “I feel that there is a deep need to have a youth to youth initiative-something that is done, managed and operated by youth” – Chairman and Founder of The Youth Company. The 9th edition of TYC Leadership Conference is sponsored by Vodafone Qatar in partnership with St. Regis Doha.
