Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Doha returns in its third season

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Doha has returned for its third instalment gathering a select list of fashionistas, style watchers and fashion influencers. For Fall /Winter 2017, designers, fashion houses and name brand stores will unveil their latest collections in a series of high-tech runway shows in front of buyers, fashion bloggers, media and VIP guests.

The bi-annual event is a succession of fashion shows converging over three days from November 28 – 30 at Hilton Doha. The event is positioned to showcase established and emerging talents and to influence style trends for the upcoming seasons.

In a press conference held before the event, the organisers announced the names of designers and brands participating in Season 3 of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Doha. Amongst the list of panellists in attendance at the conference were Pankaj Joshi, Marketing Director of Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, the authorised dealer of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, Rahat Mansoor, Event Director, and Tamer Farouk, Director of Business Development, Hilton Doha.

Pankaj Joshi, Marketing Director of Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles said: “It is through these initiatives that we reiterate the commitment of Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles to our community and all communities in Qatar, stressing on our role as supporters of arts, fashion, sports and education amongst a long list of community-focused ventures. Fashion Week also demonstrates the quality and dedication of our brand Mercedes-Benz, which embodies both luxury and cool.”

This season there are more than 24 designers participating from around the world including a list of renowned labels. Mercedes-Benz is thrilled to announce its designers’ line-up for Day 1. The Grand Opening show will be the fashion line Peacock presented by designer Nouf AlEmadi, a young Qatari talent. AlEmadi will be followed by Versha Reddy (India), Sadia Habbab (Qatar), Brism Couture, (Qatar), Meral Fashion (By Brism), Nash Collection (By Brism), Palais Des Argano (By Brism), Nero Line Abaya (Qatar), Saiid Kobeisy (Lebanon) and Meriem Belkhayat (Morocco).

For Day 2, Opening by Haifa Fahad (KSA), followed by Iman AlDeeb (Sweden), Jelbab (KSA), SS Collection (Qatar), Zeena Zaki (by Rivaage), Sumaya AbdulRazak (by Rivaage), Viabesco (by Rivaage), Dian Pelangi (Indonesia). For Day 3. Opening by Gills by Manju Lakshmi (Qatar), followed by Aadima by Gills Manju Lakshmi (Qatar), Saher Dia (Lebanon), Per Lei Couture (Qatar), Qansar Couture (Oman), Sari Lazaro (Philippines), Anniesa Hasibuan (Indonesia), Thaher (Kuwait) and grand finale by Dina Wael (Kuwait).

The Red Carpet will commence sharply at 6:30 pm each evening; under the presence of media, jet-setters and fashion royalty, followed by the night’s runway shows beginning at 7:30pm across November 28, 29 and 30th.
