McDonald’s Qatar and Wa’hab, an organisation that redistributes surplus food to the needy, embraced its sense of community spirit during Eid Al Adha by distributing over 200 innovative cooling towels to on-site construction workers at the labour camp at industrial area.

McDonald’s firmly believes that the labour force has a major role in driving forward and contributes largely to the development of infrastructure in Qatar.

The distribution of cooling towels is part of McDonald’s Qatar wider initiative that aimed at ensuring the welfare of the construction workers and guarantee the safety of the workers while working under the scorching sun. The ice towels which workers can wear on their necks can reduce heat stress and fatigue during summer by cooling their upper body.

With the success of McDonald’s collaboration with Wa’hab on a wide range of charitable initiatives recently, McDonald’s is determined to continue to contribute to the well-being of the local community, nurturing an environment of respect and social welfare.
