Cooking-Theatre

Following an exciting 8 days of food festivity, entertainment and culinary performances by world renowned chefs, QIFF 2019 heads toward its finale on 30 March, promising its visitors a fun-packed final weekend.

Since its opening on Wednesday, 20 March, QIFF has been bringing Education City’s Oxygen Park to life every day with food aromas, live musical performances, colourful light shows and delightful cheers of children - all enjoying great outdoor fun. With its finale on Saturday, organisers of QIFF have lined up exclusive entertainment shows and culinary delights for visitors of all ages:

Live Cooking

Renowned Qatari chef Noora Al Kuwari and Tasneem Al NasrAllah from Kuwait along with Food Network’s popular celebrity chefs from South Africa Jenny Morris and Siba Mtongana will be showing their culinary magic to QIFF visitors at the Live Cooking Theatre on Thursday. On Friday, Turkish chef Elif Edes Tapan will be demonstrating his master skills along with Aisha Altamimi from Qatar and Al Yazi Al Awadh from Kuwait. Qatar’s celebrity chef Mohamed Jassim Belkhams will join the cooking theatre on Saturday with another appearance by Jenny and Siba.

Indian Culture & Cuisine

Under the theme of Qatar-India Year of Culture, this year’s QIFF has showcased the diverse flavours and vibrant cultural shows. Foodies can try scrumptious Indian specialties from Tandoor restaurant, Zaffran Café, Indigrill, and 7th Street Mumbai Spices and watch famous Indian chefs at Live Cooking Theatre. On Friday, Chef Surjan Singh Jolly will be enthralling the audiences with mouthwatering Punjabi cuisine at 3:15 pm while famous chef, TV show host, judge and food stylist Ranveer Brar will demonstrate his versatile dishes at 10:00 pm. On Thursday, there will be also an exclusive Indian classical dance performance by Rina Jana group at 7:00 pm and Artistic Yoga performances at 4:30 pm, 6:00 pm, 7:30 pm, and 10:00 pm.

Kids Zone

QIFF2019 has dedicated a whole ground (O2) exclusively to children with all their favourite foods, fun activities and ample playing space including two large sand pits. There’s a Mini Zoo where children can enjoy a pony ride and an exclusive ‘Kidzania Go’ booth offering fun activities like TV station, Radio Station, 360 Virtual Reality and a RightzKeeper Zone for toddlers.

Laser Show

Visitor can watch the impressive Oxygen Park as never before through vibrant laser lights and smoke effects every day at 8:30 pm in the main ground O1.
