Garangao is a celebration rooted in Qatar and other countries in the region. It is celebrated on the 14th day of every Ramadan and is enjoyed by children as a celebration of having fasted for half of the Holy Month.
The celebration sees children adorned in traditional Qatari clothes chanting a special 'Garangao' song and walking around their neighbourhoods collecting candy, nuts and chocolates from the neighbours. Their attires are custom-made and come with pouches giving them a space to store all their goodies.
