Future 318 and Sharq Village & Spa Hotel welcome Spring with a Beach Volleyball Match

Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel will be joining hands with Future 318 to host the Qatar Open Door Beach Volleyball for second consecutive year on March 25 2016. Open to all beach volleyball enthusiasts, the friendly match is an annual sports event being organized by Future 318 to promote healthy living through sports or physical activity.

To reduce the burden of disease worldwide, the World Health Organization (WHO) introduced a global strategy on diet, physical activity and health as a large-scale initiative aimed at promoting health-enhancing physical activities and supporting development and research policies.

Aligned with the importance of this global strategy, Sharq Village & Spa will be co-hosting the 2nd open door Beach Volleyball friendly match with Future 316 to support and contribute to improving community health and well being.

For Sharq Village & Spa, hosting the 2nd Qatar Open Door Beach Volleyball Friendly Match displays their commitment in promoting a healthy quality of life by encouraging Work Life Balance. Agustinus Haryanto, Sharq Village & Spa Director of HR, says "We recognize the importance of sports in the overall wellbeing of a person as it plays a crucial role towards better development of one's health and wellbeing. This is one of the most important things we can do to improve the community's health and wellbeing."

Future 318's campaign BeHealthy4life focuses on four elements essential in promoting healthy living. These elements include Healthy Eating Habits, Not smoking, Exercise and physical activities and Handling stress. "The Beach Volleyball is one of the series of our sports events to promote the BeHealthy4Life campaign as this kind of sport provides the quickest calorie burn of any type of volleyball and Sharq Village and Spa as our venue partner added fun and accessibility to all the players and spectators as well, says Future 318's Project Chairman Conchita Ponce.

This year's match combines both professional and amateur players in a 3v3 category. Cash prizes sponsored by Megamart will be given away to Grand Champion, 1st prize and 2nd prize plus a host of gift items from various sponsors such as Mcdonalds, Dell and Naseem Al Rabeeh.
