Fifty One East, Qatar’s favorite department store, brought sought-after Lebanese designer Tony Ward’s Spring/Summer 2017 Haute Couture Collection to Qatar following his acclaimed success at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Ward’s flattering, sophisticated pieces, which show off his master craftsmanship, have inspired women around the world. His styles are popular with actresses, models, singers and women who want to add glamour to their formal official occasions. Fifty One East honored the designer’s work with an enthralling catwalk fashion show and 2-day trunk show in the presence of the designer himself, giving Qatar’s fashionistas a special introductory viewing of Ward’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection and enabling them to buy must-have pieces straight off the catwalk. The store, honored with the prestige of being the first to bring Tony Ward’s latest collection to the Middle East, held the event at their Lagoona Mall store in the presence of Qatar’s key social figures. Guests could feel the excitement in the room, as the country’s fashion elite came together to celebrate Ward’s talent for creating exquisite modern interpretations of aristocratic beauty from yesteryear.

Mesmerizing VIPs and esteemed guests with Ward’s image of the empress, a mixture of strength, poetry, boldness and femininity, his collection is a tribute to Aelia Eudocia, a Byzantine woman who refused to settle for injustice. Charmed by the empress’ avant-garde and unconventional journey, Ward brings together the splendor of Byzantine Era, and its captivating mix of bold colors with softened modern cuts that play on transparency. Crystals and precious stones are embroidered on garments made of lace, tulle and silk to create a feminine, timeless style that is extremely wearable.
