Eid Charity Adopts QAR 25 million to Support Syrians Through Winter

The Sheikh Eid Bin Mohammed Al Thani Charity Foundation has adopted about QAR 25 million riyals for the implementation of a package of urgent relief projects for the displaced and refugees Syrians to help them cope with the winter.
The Foundation said in a press release Saturday, that the reliefs are being implemented in cooperation with its partners within Syria and institutions working in the field of refugee response, including a package of the most needed relief projects in this period, during which Syria is experiencing cold weather, heavy rains and snow in some areas.
The Foundation said that among the most important projects, which are being implemented currently and over the next month, are the provision of food aids, drinking water and shelter projects including building and restoring homes, housing rental for families, caravans and securing drinking water, winter clothing for children, women and elderly, mattresses, fuel and heaters.
The aid program also includes medical assistance, such as first aid, medical staff, field hospitals and clinics, important medicines and drugs, chairs for the disabled, as well as psychosocial support to children and mothers programs, it added.
The Foundation confirmed that this aid comes in continuation of its efforts to support the Syrian people, which began even before the current crisis, stressing that it will spare no effort in providing various types of humanitarian support for refugees and displaced persons.
