In the spirit of giving back during this blessed month, Qatar Medical Students’ Association’s standing committees on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV & AIDS (SCORA) and on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP) is working with Education Above All Foundation to encourage everyone locally and internationally to donate to support the mission of breaking down the barriers that prevent children accessing quality education.

Education in some countries is at its most difficult stage during this global pandemic. Due to a lack of funding, education is inaccessible to children more than ever before. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, “... before coronavirus struck, all the conflicts, natural disasters, poverty, and discrimination across the globe were keeping 258 million children and youth out of primary and secondary school. Add in the pandemic and the number whose education is currently being disrupted is now well over ONE BILLION.”

Understanding this difficult situation, SCORA and SCORP have dedicated this Ramadan campaign to provide funding for education internationally and locally. Thanks to Education Above All and their partners, only 365 Qatari riyals are needed to support one child internationally and 14,000 Qatari riyals to support one child locally. More critical than ever, your help is profoundly needed today.

You can make a difference today by donating through your Ooredoo card or debit card in the link below. Donate for Education today starting from 10 Qatari riyals and be the change you want to see in the world.
