Two large earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.8 and 7.6 devastated large parts of southeastern Türkiye and Syria on 6 February 2023. Thousands lost their lives in the tragedy, and rescue efforts within the countries and relief aid from across the world are ongoing.
Qatar has also been sending aid relief to support the victims. Apart from this, businesses around Qatar are also donating proceeds from their sales to charity. Check the list below to know where you can support the efforts.

Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Doha

In coordination with the Qatar Red Crescent Society, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Doha has set up a donation drive for those affected by the earthquake. The embassy has listed its suggested in-kind donations, including unused winter clothing for adults and children, tents, beds, diapers, flashlights, thermos, and more. Used donations will not be accepted.
The donations can be sent to the below addresses from 9 am to 5 pm between 8-10 February and will be transported to Türkiye by the Turkish Airline.

Qatar Foundation (QF) has launched a donation drive for the Türkiye & Syria earthquake victims. In collaboration with Qatar Charity, QF is asking the public to donate in any way they can but encourages them to donate in kind. Donations encouraged are warm clothes for all ages, warm blankets, hygiene kits, and dry and canned foods with 6 months expiration date.

Qatar Museums (QM) has announced a campaign named ‘Be Their Hope’, encouraging staff, visitors, and sponsors, to participate in donating items to help survivors of the recent devastating earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye.
Interested donors are requested to donate canned foodstuffs with an expiry date of at least 6 months (powdered milk and canned goods), clothes and blankets (only new items will be accepted), hygiene products (diapers in sizes suitable for children and elderly, sanitizers, alcohol, and surgical gloves), first aid supplies (antiseptic spray, bandages and dressings, safety pins, sterilizing wipes, adhesive tape, foil blankets, etc.) and toys of any kind.

Businesses donating proceeds to victims of Türkiye & Syria earthquake

Kunefe House announced that all income made on 11 February 2023 will be donated towards earthquake-affected areas in Türkiye.
Al Aker will donate 100% of its sales on 14 February 2023.
Flat White announced that all sales proceeds between 7-9 February 2023 will be donated to affected areas in Türkiye and Syria.
L'wzaar has said via its social media account that all amounts collected from sales on 11 February 2023 will be donated to the cause.
Sukar Pasha has said via its social media account that all amounts collected from sales on 11 February 2023 will be donated to the cause.
Boho Social has said via its social media account that all amounts collected from sales on 11 February 2023 will be donated to the cause.

Embrace Doha has announced that they will be donating a portion of their February profits to help with the recovery efforts.
Hakuna Matata Dog Treats & Cakes makes treats and more for dogs, and as per their Instagram announcement, the sales of this month go towards helping Syrian victims.
talabat Qatar is helping the victims of Türkiye & Syria. They have a special collection called 'Turkey & Syria' on their app, where QR 1 will be donated for every purchase from that collection.
Sugar & Spice Qatar in cooperation with Qatar Charity, has announced that it is allocating a percentage of its profits from 7-8 February 2023 to the earthquake relief campaign.
Snoonu will donate its profit for 5 days starting 7 February 2023 through Qatar Charity to the people affected by the earthquake in Syria & Türkiye.
Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced an initiative to allocate the proceeds from ticket sales of the Qatar Cup 2023 semifinals, to be held at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium of Al Sadd club on 9 February, to support those affected by the earthquake that occurred in Türkiye and Syria recently.
Carriage Qatar to make a donation via Carriage, search for 'Qatar Red Crescent' on the app and donate via the 'Emergency Relief Turkey and Syria Earthquake' tab.
Soleil, a clothing brand based in Msheireb is donating 100% of its profits of 7 February 2023 to the earthquake relief campaign.
