Doha Learning Days aims to foster a vibrant learning ecosystem in Doha by providing creative, meaningful, and experiential learning opportunities for everyone at any age.
Doha Learning Days (DLD) is an immersive three-day festival offering workshops, activities, and informal experimental learning for FREE and is open to the public! Returning for its fourth edition from 2-4 February 2023 at Msheireb Museums, here's your chance to expand your capabilities!
They have collaborated with 20 content partners from different sectors and will host numerous events. With the theme of "Youth Empowerment," DLD focuses on hands-on, informal learning to empower young people to hone their skills in advocacy, the arts, well-being, entrepreneurship, tech, science, and coding.
Are you up for the challenge of replicating Qatar's stadiums on Minecraft?! Get into the e-sports competition spirit where teams of students learn and attempt to complete the challenge within a specific time limit.
Students will learn about the structures before replicating them using code to automate the construction and finalize the 3D structures within the time frame.
Do you think robots are cool? Learn how to code, experiment, and play with robots like Spherobolt, Ozobot, and Vex!
Participants will learn how to interact with the line follower robot, control robots using other smart devices, and interact with colour sensors and moving objects through Vex robot.
Did you know that there are endless possibilities in the metaverse? Through this workshop and using innovative technology, children will have the chance to learn, grow and explore in a safe Metaverse where they can follow their paths and pave the way to a fantastic future.
Participants will be taught to build a virtual drone, create a 3D artistic masterpiece, and even experience a deep sea dive (without getting wet!).
Activists in Action (AiA) and DEAP have collaborated to bring the community a special workshop to promote sustainability and recycling while creating masterpieces!
DEAP's beach cleanups collect a lot of plastic, and in this activity, AiA youth will guide participants as they get in touch with their artistic side and create recycled art out of plastic!
Join fun paint-and-sip guided art sessions where participants will learn the basics of artistry by following an artist's step-by-step instructions to create beautiful masterpieces.
Participants will learn to create art with ultralight clay, acrylic paint, and canvas in a fun, safe, and social environment. This event is open to all - amateurs or advanced artists alike!
In this interactive workshop, children will learn about natural colours and how to extract them from different plants!
They will learn the history of how people used to create colouring materials and how it has evolved through time. They will even learn how to create recycled crayons!
Insaniyatna, which means 'humanity,' is the key to multiple areas of society and life. In this workshop, the youth will learn the essence of Insaniyatna and how it can be used to enhance future innovative ideas relating to people with intellectual challenges and physical disabilities.
Through this collaborative experience, the youth will get to know people with disabilities by putting themselves in their shoes and learning about the importance of receiving equal access.
Mental health and wellness are important aspects of one's well-being.
Psychologists from The Learning Center (QF PUE) will educate participants on common well-being concerns and how to support those affected. Proper resources will also be provided to garner support for personal mental health and wellness.
Did you know that rescue dogs often need to be eased into an eating routine to ensure they don't eat too quickly? Coming from an unstable environment causes them to eat fast as they have been starved or in fear that their food may be taken away. This can cause all sorts of health complications!
Qatar Academy Doha Animal Ambassadors invite guests to join their 'snuffle mats-making activity to support animal rescue dogs in a local shelter. Snuffle mats are interactive feed puzzles where dogs need to sniff and work their way around the mat to be able to reach their food, allowing them to eat at a safe and healthy pace while keeping entertained.
With this activity, visitors will gain greater empathy and understanding of animal rights, the idea behind the use of snuffle mats, and why they are used.
The Best Buddies initiative aims to assist and support the integration of people with disabilities into society, such as schools, the workforce, and the overall community in Qatar.
Best Buddies and friends will be hosting an activity where participants will be asked a series of interactive awareness questions, putting their knowledge of social inclusion issues to the test.
This activity lets interested participants get to know the Best Buddies Friendship volunteer program. They will have the chance to sign up for the initiative and help make a difference in the community.
