Charity Week is a non-profit, volunteer led project, operates in 7 countries worldwide who raises money for orphans and needy children for one week each year. Operating through association and partnership with Islamic Relief, the project started its journey in 2003 with a vision to unite people and become a stronger collective force to make a positive change in the society through raising money for needy children worldwide. Currently, they have their footprints across the seven countries (UK, USA, Canada, Germany, South Africa, Australia & Qatar) to reinforce the message of unity across communities!
The ultimate vision of Charity Week is to become a vehicle to inspire young people to become active, socially engaged and united upon our shared Islamic and humanitarian values. The project aims to provide a lasting solution to the suffering of the children of the world and leave a legacy for generations to come.
In Qatar, Charity week 2018 will kick off from October 21 to October 27 in support of Education Above All at the following universities: Texas A&M University in Qatar, NorthWestern University in Qatar, Georgetown University Qatar, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University Qatar, Weill Cornell Medicine- Qatar, College of the North Atlantic Qatar, University of Calgary Qatar, Qatar University.
To end the week in unity, the inter-university fest will begin from 6:30-8:30 pm on the Thursday, 25thOctober at the Oxygen park, Education City.
