Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar guides 71 high school students through the 8th Summer College Preview Program (SCPP) held on campus.

The four-week program bridges the gap between high school and university, introducing students to college level classes and preparing them for the college admissions process.

The program introduces students to the programs offered at Carnegie Mellon Qatar; biological sciences, business administration, computational biology, computer science and information systems.

Students have the opportunity to experience the majors that Carnegie Mellon Qatar offers through lab-based courses that give students hands on experience of these disciplines.

They are exposed to university-level math – including differential calculus – academic writing, and an array of personal and professional developmental workshops to improve their competitiveness on college applications.

This year students are being taught by 14 professors, handpicked from leading high schools and universities across the world.
