Qatar Chamber in cooperation with the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN) hold on Tuesday the "Career Day for Recruiting People with Disabilities, an initiative to recruit people with special needs in appropriate jobs and merging them in the local labor market. The event was attended by HE QC's Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani, and chairs and representatives of 16 Qatari companies and a number of people with special needs willing to find appropriate jobs.
Addressing the meeting, Director General Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi said that the Career Day aims to providing an opportunity for people with disabilities to find jobs befitting their abilities and absorb their skills, praising the role played by Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs in helping this important category of the society. He underscored the QSRSN's role in finding many jobs for members in the private sector institutions and companies.
Al Sharqi expressed his thanking to businessmen and companies that respond to the Chambers initiative. He stressed the chamber's interest to support all efforts made to merge people with special needs in the labor market, terming them as "positive energy" that should benefited from. On turn, QSRSN's President Khalid al-Shuaibi expressed his thanks and appreciation to Qatar Chamber for its support and initiative to help recruit people with disabilities. He also said that interviews held in this meeting would be continued to provide the opportunity for a large number of people with disabilities to join labor market. He noted that the QSRSN is a volunteering and non-government society.
