Qatar National Program for Sustainable Development "Estedama"; is a national awareness program initiated by the Ministry of Environment, and supported by official entities in State of Qatar. Based on Qatar National Vision 2030; and contributes to its realization.
“Estedama” is a national awareness program on sustainable development; aims to contribute in developing sustainable and healthy community by raising awareness about sustainable development topics and empower people to act in their society, through meeting the needs of the present, without compromising the future generations needs.
Work on the program started in the beginning of the year 2013, and to be a real legacy for State of Qatar, and one of the mega projects that has been launched after the sucessful host of COP18. The team Started the work under the umbrella and supervision of Ministry of Environment, and led its way to involve other minsitries and official entities in Qatar to help build its structure.
The program focuses on national topics and projects, and is based on series of workshops and various events throughout the year. Addressing all segments of Qatari society, and working on a scientific debate to reach to solutions that contribute in building the society and thriving economy.
