A delegation from Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) visited Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) on Tuesday morning as the last in a series of scheduled visits to important community and civic organisations during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The visit to HMC is one of a number of such activities which highlight the extent of AZF’s efforts to engage social and civic institutions and support members of the community including children, families and the elderly.
Mr. Ali Nasser Al Naimi, Public Relations Representative at HMC, welcomed the delegation and accompanied them on a tour of the hospital’s departments and services. The delegation then paid a visit to some children seeking treatment at HMC’s Pediatric Oncology Ward, as well as those receiving dialysis, recovering from surgery or accidents, amongst others, to wish them well and offer them some gifts.
During the visit, HMC officials and parents expressed their gratefulness to Aspire Zone Foundation for its efforts, expressing that the visit was different from others they had received and that the gifts offered were unique as they helped the children pass time and get entertained. They requested from AZF to conduct the visit again in the near future, adding that such visits provide an enormous boost to patients and help in their recovery.
This is the fourth and final visit in a series that has taken place during the Holy Month and follows similar visits to the Shafallah Centre for Disabled People, the Orphans Care Centre “Dhreima,” and the Qatar Foundation for Elderly People Care “Ihsan”.
