Due to the coronavirus outbreak, schools are closed, many people are working at home and our home became nursery, kindergarten, school, and workplace where we relax at the same time.
Most of us are living in apartments, complex and townhouses where we are connected to many other neighbors. Do you consider yourself a friendly and quiet neighbor? Maybe you do not realize how much of noise your household to create to others, so let's check it out!
Yes, kids got unexplainable energy, and they are stuck indoors. So, do we allow them to play ball, ride their little toy cars and run around the house?
If you are living on a ground floor or a townhouse where you do not have a neighbor under you, that would be totally fine. But, if you have a neighbor under you, let’s think about these poor people downstairs who have to handle this noise. Children need to be controlled by their parents and if they are just uncontrollable, placing a playmat would reduce the noise in between the floors.
As we have more time to spend in the house, we dedicate some of our time to deep clean and redecorate the house.
I personally woke up this morning at 7 am with a sound of drilling machine, which continued until 10 am. Thankfully this neighbor took a couple of breaks but I wonder if it was really necessary to drill at 7 am in the morning. Maybe he had an urgency to get something fixed quickly but I hear this often over the weekend around the same time.
The same goes for vacuuming! Maybe you have to go to the office and do not have the flexibility to hoover during the day time, then how about we do these noisy chores over the weekend?
Gyms are closed, pools are closed, so what do we do! We can always do at-home workouts! There are tons of home cardio workout routines we can find on youtube, and burn some calories. Make sure to put a yoga mat so it does not create noise to your nice neighbor downstairs.
If you do not have a noisy neighbor, you probably do not realize how these activities can bother others. As we all live together as a society surrounded by each other, it is a good idea to give more consideration to our lovely neighbors!
