The Philippine Embassy Doha led by its Cultural, Community and Public Information

Section organized the screening of Director Mario J. de los Reyes'

Sineng Pambansa entry "Bamboo Flowers" at the Katara Drama Theatre on Tuesday.

It was held in celebration of the Philippine National Language Month (Buwan ng

Wika).

The event was attended by Philippine Ambassador to Qatar HE Wilfredo Santos,

Deputy Head of Mission Consul Gonar Musor, Consul General Roussel Reyes, Vice

Consul Kristine Bautista, Cultural Attaché John Jiao and Labor Attache David Des Dicang.

Among those who watched the hour and a half long film were members of Doha

diplomatic corps including the envoys of Indonesia, Thailand and Brunei. Several

community leaders and film enthusiasts from other expat communities also

supported the initiative.
