World Incubation Summit starts in Doha; many business incubators and accelerators participate

Under the patronage of His Excellency (H.E.) Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the World Incubation Summit (WIS) kicked off in Doha Tuesday with the participation of a large number of entrepreneurs and innovators in the world.

More than 250 business incubators, business accelerators, program managers, experts in innovation companies are taking part in the summit organised by the Swedish company UBA Global, along with government innovation agencies, representing more than 40 countries around the world.

The Summit will feature workshops, discussions and innovative activities designed to enhance knowledge in building innovative ecosystems across a local and global platform, and through a number of distinguished professionals in their respective fields.

Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Development Bank Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa said that the hosting of this international event is a strong testimony to Qatar's distinguished status in the fields of business incubation and acceleration.

He added that the importance of this summit is that it is a platform that brings together representatives from different business sectors from all over the world to share experiences related to innovation in the fields of entrepreneurship, incubation and business acceleration.
