Vodafone Qatar today hosted female students aged between 14 and 20 from the Media Centre for Youth at the Company’s headquarters in Qatar Science and Technology Park.
The students spent 4 hours learning about one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world and were given interesting insights into Vodafone Qatar’s marketing and social media activities, business services and were even involved in an exercise on how to best engage with customers.
Moreover, the students were introduced to Vodafone’s graduates Discover Program, developed to identify and recruit talented Qatari nationals that will help drive Vodafone to the new era of telecoms. The students were given the opportunity to speak to 2 Discover Program recruits who shared their experience of their rotations across Vodafone’s business and how this has helped form their career aspirations. The students also had fun posting stories from their day on their social media channels.
“We’re delighted to welcome students from the Media Centre for Youth to Vodafone. Engaging and hiring Qatari youth is a key focus for Vodafone and is an important element of supporting Qatar’s 2030 vision,” said Mohammed Al Yami, Director of External Affairs, Vodafone Qatar.
The Media Centre for Youth was established to serve as a platform that encourages and grows young Qatari voices in the field of media.
