Trimoo And Ooredoo

Trimoo - the world’s ground-breaking location-based entertainment company represented by Talal bin Mohammed Trading (TBMT) in Qatar – has officially announced Ooredoo as the exclusive telecommunications partner for its cluster of high-thrill entertainment parks, set to launch at Doha Festival City.

The country’s largest family destination is comprised of four pioneering concepts: ANGRY BIRDS WORLD™, SNOW DUNES™, VIRTUOCiTY™ and JUNIVERSE™, which together span over 45,000 square metres.

The five-year sponsorship agreement was signed between Talal bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Attiyah, Chairman of TBMT, and Waleed Al Sayed, Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, at a special ceremony held at the Ooredoo Tower in West Bay.

With Ooredoo’s strategic partnership in place, Trimoo aims to drive its motto of boundless experience even further. Visitors will enjoy high-end and fast internet connectivity with no latency across Qatar’s largest indoor and outdoor entertainment destination, providing an unparalleled guest experience.

The country’s national telecom provider will also cement the data transfer and usage network, supporting each park’s cutting-edge technology and attractions through its world-class Supernet.

Furthermore, a dedicated Ooredoo space will be located within the destination, allowing visitors full access to the network’s comprehensive range of products and customer-care services.

Talking at the event, Waleed Al Sayed, Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Ooredoo is proud to sponsor and support such an important step for Qatar. With our state-of-the-art infrastructure and network, and Trimoo’s innovative parks, we are going to create a truly amazing experience for the people of Qatar. Ooredoo has a long history of supporting family-friendly destinations in our country, and we can’t wait to see the impact this upcoming mega project will have. Ooredoo is working hard to reach its goal of becoming the number one ICT provider in the region and partnerships like today help demonstrate that we are the best choice for Qatar’s communication needs.”

On his part, Talal bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Attiyah, Chairman of TBMT, said: “Under the exemplary leadership of HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, the country has witnessed a rapid proliferation of its economy. This unparalleled growth has opened up opportunities to diversify and invest in other industries, such as tourism, thus shaping Qatar into one of the most sought-after destinations in the region. At TBMT, we continuously strive to work in line with the national aspirations of Qatar and contribute towards its expansion. Hence, when Trimoo approached us with their pioneering concepts, we immediately got on board. We are extremely thrilled to represent Trimoo here and join hands in realising its vision of creating a one-of-a-kind family entertainment destination in Qatar. Today, we take a step closer to our goal, by partnering with Ooredoo, who share the same passion of delivering unique and new experiences.”

Riad Makdessi, CEO of Trimoo, said on his part: “This is a significant milestone for us, as we come closer to the opening of the first of our four parks – the ANGRY BIRDS WORLD™. We are working meticulously on the development of each park, from its range of attractions to personalised visitor interactions, to ensure that we deliver the highest standards of family entertainment in the country. At Trimoo, we are driven by the motto of boundless experience. We like to challenge the boundaries of our ever-changing world, by creating products that instil joy and excitement. By securing Ooredoo as the exclusive telecom provider, we are reaffirming our commitment towards enriching lives and creating lasting impressions. This esteemed partnership will help us build upon our shared goals of innovation and limitless imagination. Because, we believe that with creativity, game and design thinking we can revolutionise the way people experience the world.”

The four entertainment parks will feature an array of thrilling rides and attractions, edutainment activities, food and beverage options and retail stores. Themed around one of the most downloaded mobile games, ANGRY BIRDS WORLD™ will be the first of its kind in the world. It will draw visitors into a maddening adventure through a range of over 20 high-octane rides for all ages. SNOW DUNES™ is Qatar’s first indoor snow park featuring a fantastical Arabian-style castle.

The much-anticipated VIRTUOCiTY™ will feature the region’s biggest gaming and entertainment arena for the wider community of gamers. JUNIVERSE™ is the world’s first city in space that offers an engaging and dynamic learning experience to inspire, educate and entertain children.

The development of Trimoo’s largest entertainment destination is in line with the Qatar National Tourism Sector Strategy 2030 (QNTSS). Its innovative concepts cater to every member of the family by combining unique entertainment and edutainment experiences under one roof.
