The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ trained 25 of its leaders and senior management on enhancing their communication skills. Headed and attended by the President HE Eng. Nasser bin Ali Al Mawlawi, the training titled “Meeting the Press” was held at the Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Centre.
The course included methods of dealing with various media channels, on-camera practice, use of body language, and preparation for media interviews. The course also deepened the understanding of media and its tools; it also explained the foundations and rules of dealing with different media platforms, including television and radio. The training defined the foundations of interviews and their different styles, and covered methods of organising conferences and other special events.
The participants praised the course and its outputs. Mr. Saif Ali Al-Kaabi, Human Resources Manager, said that this training with the Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Center is not the first, and will certainly not be the last.
The Center held a formal graduation ceremony attended by: HE Eng. Nasser bin Ali Al Mawlawi, Eng. Meshal Al-Hitmi, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ajmi, Mr. Saif Ali Al-Kaabi, Ms. Abeer Al-Hajri, Mr. Ghanem Al-Mansoori, Eng. Nasser Ghaith Al-Kuwari, Eng. Saoud Ali Al-Tamimi, Ms. Johara Al-Mansoor, Eng. Abdulla Ahin, and Mr. Mostafa Kamal Azzam. At the end, Eng. Nasser Ali bin Al Mawlawi gifted Mr. Khalid Ali Johar, Acting Director General of Human Resources and Projects at Al Jazeera Network, the Public Works Authority Shield.
The course was held from 10 to 11 December, 2013 at Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Centre; facilitated by of Dr. Faisal Al Kasim.
