Forbes Middle East released on 12 May 2023 the list of Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders 2023, out of which three Qataris were added to the list of most influential leaders.

The entries included the region’s travel and tourism industry leaders, hospitality companies, hotels, resorts, aviation industry and tourism authorities.

The Qatari leaders added to the list were as follows:

• Designation: Group CEO

Nasser Matar Al Kawari

• Ranking: #22
• Company: Katara Hospitality
• Designation: CEO

Badr Mohammed Al Meer

• Ranking: #31
• Company: Hamad International Airport (DOH)
• Designation: COO

The entries to the list were chosen based on their business size, asset ownership, the experience of the leaders selected and their scope of influence.
