“Consumer choice has grown steadily in Qatar,” said Pedro Ribeiro, General Manager of Tawar Mall, “but we have taken the creation of a completely new offering as our guiding principle throughout the planning process. Today’s announcement is the first of many as we pursue our strategy to create a truly unique shopping destination.”

The signing with Tawar Mall represents the first ever time these brands have been seen in Qatar.

Tawar Mall represents the vision of the late entrepreneur, Jabr Tawar Al-Kuwari. His son, Jassim Tawar Al-Kuwari, stepped up to represent the family last year and appointed a new management team to continue his father’s legacy.

“Retail developers are always competing to build the biggest mall, but we take a different view of what’s important to consumers,” said Mr Jassim Al-Kuwari. “Delivering quality and choice is much more valuable than measuring square feet. Thanks to our new general manager, Mr. Pedro Ribeiro, and the rest of the team, we are taking the first steps to deliver just that today with these new lease agreements. This announcement is good news for the local and international community, for the retail sector, as well as for our increasingly diverse economy.”

Speaking on behalf of Al Siddiqi Holding, CEO Aly Delawar commented: “We were keen to develop our plans for Kaboom, and when we were approached by Tawar Mall we knew we had found the right venue and team to work with. Their commitment to creating a unique experience for Qatar shines through everything they do.”
