Sun & Sand Sports (SSS), the region’s leading sports retailer, unveils its first new concept retail store in Doha at Mall of Qatar. The two storey, 1592 sq. m retail destination carries the latest in sportswear and features specialized zones dedicated to popular sports.

The concept store offers an interactive retail journey, and helps visitors make informed purchase decisions thanks to dedicated in-store digital hubs. The launch of the new retail concept in Qatar follows on a successful roll-out of ‘SSS Concept 2.0’ stores in the UAE.

The Sun & Sand Sports ‘One Off’ service is central to the new retail concept. From football boots and jerseys to t-shirts and cap embroidery, discerning customers have the opportunity to personalize their purchases at a dedicated customization station, to create their own signature look.

Speaking about the opening of the store, Mohammad A. Baker, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Gulf Marketing Group (GMG) said, “Qatar is a huge sporting country with a commitment to fitness and well-being. A dedicated national sports day, international training facilities, world-class sports teams and stadiums and the mandate to hold the 2022 FIFA World Cup all demonstrate the huge appetite for fitness here. We have identified that there is a need for specialized equipment and that today’s consumers are increasingly looking for an elevated form of retail experience. Bridging the gap between the digital and in-store experience we are able to deliver an innovative retail experience that is truly reflective of our shining legacy of over 30 years in the business.”

The store offers sporting goods in eight categories; men’s and women’s fitness wear, home fitness, sportswear, football, basketball, outdoor, kids and action sportswear. Sun & Sand Sports sportswear portfolio features powerhouse brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and Puma, to name a few.
