Evergreen Organics, Time Out Doha's 'Best Cafe in Qatar' awardee is also the country's first and only 100% vegan cafe!
Its two young founders, Qataris Joujou Alfardan and Ghanim Al Sulaiti, have this passion of changing the health of the nation and their love for plant-based and medicinal food has guided them to set up Evergreen Organics and produce a range of artisan vegan wholefoods that are available in supermarket shelves across Doha.
Speaking to ILoveQatar.Net, Ghanim said that their main goal is to raise awareness for people to eat more plant-based food and live a healthier lifestyle. "Good thing Qatar is working hard to achieve this aim by spreading awareness among the local community which is one of the main pillars of the country's 2030 vision," he continued.
Evergreen Organics also offers its customers a healthier alternative to the massive options of fast food and junk food around. "We live in a country with the highest amount of cardiovascular disease presence in the population, and the only solution to reduce that is by making those small changes in the way we eat and what we put in our bodies," Ghanim noted.
It was September of 2016 when Evergreen Organics opened its maiden branch in The Pearl, Qatar. Since that glorious day, they've expanded to their very own centralized kitchen called AKA Evergreen Kitchen where they produce whole food products which they then distribute in supermarkets across Doha. Evergreen Organics' cheeses, granolas and crackers all gluten free and are hand made in Qatar and 100% organic.
When asked about their customers reception on their food and services, Ghanim has this to say: "We've been hearing amazing feedback so far. People loved Evergreen since Day 1 and majority of the reason why is because people in Qatar are lacking with enough nutrients as they're very used to eating express and at most times, fast food."
Ghanim, together with his business partner Joujou, also thanked Time Out Doha for awarding them the 'Best Cafe in Qatar' trophy a couple of weeks ago. "This wouldn't be possible without the support of our fans and loyal customers. You guys rock!"
In the end, the duo advised their fellow young entrepreneurs to always follow their passion. "Have a bigger purpose and make sure that your concept will inspire people to become a better version of themselves."
Evergreen Organics Cafe is located at Qanat Quartier The Pearl and their products are available daily in all Carrefour and Mega Mart branches. They're currently in the process of opening their second branch.
