This week, we're putting the spotlight on Candeel Candle—Qatar's only handmade and organic massage candle! Candeel's ingredients, vegete soy wax and organic essential oils, are guaranteed to make the most unique-looking hand-poured candle that you will ever lay your eyes on.

The founder, Aya, shares that there is a story behind every candle—which comes in 16 different varieties. "Our candles bear a name (usually an Arab city) which it represents and connects it to its ingredients at the same time. The brand also delivers our Arabian identity through its name, ingredients, and stories."

'Doha' for example, one of Candeel's best sellers, is a unique mix of saffron, cardamom and ginger which are of high importance in the spices industry in Qatar.

Sharing her pride on how Qatar was able to overcome all the setbacks that it has been through, Aya says: "People in Qatar deserves only the best. We deserve to have an organic and hand-poured candle made entirely of vegetarian soy wax and organic essential oil."

And because Candeel is made up of only the freshest ingredients, Aya is proud to say that her brainchild respects and protects the health and the environment of Qatar and its residents.

Candeel has been in the market for a year now and their proudest moment for 2018, according to Aya, was when they were chosen by the ambassador of Qatar in Russia Mr. Fahd Al Attya to participate in the recently-concluded Qatar-Russia campaign which is a part of the Qatari-Russian year of culture in Moscow, where Candeel proudly waved Qatar's flag as the the only hand-poured candle in the country.

Looking back, Aya reminisced the brief history on how she discovered the possibility of having Candeel in the local market. "The idea sparked when we couldn’t find exactly what we need, so we decided to make our own!"

After 2 years of researching, crowd sourcing, and experimenting, Candeel was born. And 2018 has brought nothing but great things for the whole team as they're starting to get relatively high brand awareness by slowly penetrating the Qatari market.
