This week, we're tying the leash on Pet Sooq—the go-to place for Qatar's huge pet lovers community when it comes to providing all kinds of pet food, supplies, and accessories via the E-Commerce (online shop) platform!

People in Qatar are known to be extremely considerate towards pets that even if a resident doesn't own a pet, there are still tons of street cats near them to whom they feed on daily basis.

And it has been proven that quite a good percentage of people have pets at home and most of them doesn't compromise on the quality of food that they feed their furry friends which is good, because here in Qatar, businesses—including Pet Sooq—strive for quality and customer satisfaction in providing customers the best services when it comes to making their little loved ones as comfy as possible.

The founder, Amna, said that they started the business about a month ago. "We still have a long way to go. The promotion stage is tough as the whole team is finding the quickest possible way to slowly penetrate the Qatari market," she continued.

What Pet Sooq usually does is they deliver each and every pet food and supply safely to their customer's location. "We're just a phone call away."

When asked about the public's reception on their services, Amna said that they're receiving quite overwhelming comments so far. "We've been receiving many orders because pet owners don't always want to drive and go to markets. They prefer home delivery service and that is what we are best at. They are happy with our service and want us to bring in more types of pet products and brands."

Priding itself as Qatar's first home delivery service for pet supplies, Pet Sooq's concept relies heavily in the online start-up industry (or E-Commerce)—which Amna noted plays a vital role in the economy stability of a country. E-Commerce is becoming a very significant option for many emerging start-ups, especially in the digital age as it is deemed convenient by attracting new customers with search engine visibility.

It also cuts labor cost and improves efficiency by reducing human errors involved. This makes E-Commerce more economical and reasonable. In this way, the cash flow is circulated within the country which in turn is beneficial to the economic growth of the country.

Amna is kind enough to give her advice for Doha's young entrepreneurs too. She shared that knowing your passion, setting your goals straight, and hard work are what make up the best ingredients to attaining success. "Many people are working hard but they complain about not achieving their goals. It is because they put their efforts in the wrong direction which does not create the output they require."

She also disclosed that they might be seeking the help of the Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) in the near future but not now as they're still in the initial phase of the whole business process.

The home delivery service—which is one of Pet Sooq's most unique features—is ongoing and if your pet needs to undergo vaccination or grooming, then Amna's team is more than happy to provide pick and drop services. Customers can also order pet supplies or pet food thru Instagram—which Pet Sooq delivers right at their doorstep.
