QTA, hotels offer packages for National Sport Day

Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has joined hands once again with 50 members of the country’s hospitality sector to offer Qatar’s residents and visitors a healthy and action-packed National Sport Day (NSD). This year, hotels from across the 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-star categories will be offering various packages on 12, 13 and 14 February.

The offers are designed to promote healthy lifestyles among residents and visitors of all ages, with packages including free access to hotel gyms, discounts on gym memberships of up to 50%, and free gym classes. Foodies can also enjoy healthy buffets at special prices, while those seeking a staycation can avail of a ‘bed-and-healthy-breakfast’ at attractive rates for the duration of the offer.

This year, the sector sees a 25% in the number of hotels providing special NSD offers compared to 2017. It is also the first year for hotels from the 2- and 3-star categories to participate.

Jawaher Al-khuzaei, Acting Director of Public Relations & Communication at QTA commented, “Leveraging our sports and recreation assets is a key area of focus for us as we implement the Next Chapter of National Tourism Sector Strategy 2017-2023.” She added, “NSD is an opportunity to showcase Qatar’s wide array of hotel spas and resorts which form an important part of our sport and recreation tourism offering. We are delighted to see a 25% increase in the number of hospitality partners demonstrating their shared commitment to supporting the country’s vision for a healthy nation.”

Prior reservations are required for all hotel offers – those interested should contact the hotel directly to make a reservation.
