The General Retirement & Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) signed a partnership agreement with Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) to offer preferential pricing and services to pensioners in Qatar.
The agreement supports GRSIA’s latest discounts initiative “Khusomat” which was launched in June 2016. The new package offers attractive profit rates for obtaining personal financing and for savings on fixed deposits to Qatari pensioners who are registered with GRSIA.
On this occasion, QIB’s General Manager of Personal Banking Group, D. Anand expressed his appreciation to GRSIA for giving QIB the opportunity to take part of servicing the Qatari pensioners. Commenting on the agreement, he said: “We remain committed to provide all our customers with a superior customer experience and to offer them tailored solutions. Today’s agreement is the successful result of our customer-centric strategy. We have tailored a host of exclusive products and services taking into consideration the different financial needs of the Qatari pensioners segment. This agreement is a tribute to all the hard work and efforts of the pensioners who contributed to the nation’s growth and development.”
He added: “Retired Qatari customers will receive preferential profit rates on long term deposits with the choice to earn the profit on the deposits through flexible payment options (upfront, monthly, quarterly or at maturity), as well as discounted financing rates for personal and auto finance. Additionally, pensioners can now receive a comprehensive auto takaful with special rates.” Enrollment only requires presenting their pensioner card to the Bank’s personnel at any of QIB 29 branches across Qatar.
The agreement covers all the Qatari pensioners and will be applied for new transactions only. Qatari retirees can also apply for a free credit card for the first year and the possibility of paying a minimum percentage per month of total outstanding on the credit cards.
QIB’s ladies banking services, updated last year with a series of special products and services targeting women, will also provide female pensioners with exclusive privileges in addition to access to more than 12 dedicated ladies centers across Qatar and dedicated call centers to address all their needs in complete privacy.
The GRSIA refer to the agreement with QIB as an important partnership that gives pensioners valuable financial services and additional privileges. The offer covers all pensioners under General Retirement & Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), who wish to bank with QIB.
