Qatar, Iraq sign MoU to boost bilateral trades

Qatar Chamber signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce to enhance cooperation between the two sides and coordinate joint action and exchange of information, and working to develop trade relations and economic cooperation between Qatari companies and their Iraqi counterparts, and the establishment of exhibitions and economic events.

The MoU was signed by Qatar Chamber Chairman, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, and the chairman of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, Abdel Razzak Al Zouhairy.

The statement said that the two sides aim to develop trade relations and economic cooperation of their respective companies, exchange information and data related to the economy, laws and legislations related to the establishment of business, arbitration practices and settlement of commercial disputes, as well as holding exhibitions and events to collect their affiliated companies to discuss the establishment of deals and mutual alliances, and the reception of Iraqi trade delegations in Qatar, and the organization of visits to Qatari businessmen to the Republic of Iraq to discuss the establishment of joint projects.
