Under the patronage of HH Sheikha Jawaher Bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, wife of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, The Emir of Qatar, organizers of the 5^th edition of the Qatar International Businesswomen Forum (QIBWF), which will be held on the 16^th and 17^th of December 2014 at the St. Regis Doha Hotel in Qatar, have announced that Qatar Development Bank (QDB) will support this year’s edition of the annual businesswomen’s event as its Strategic Partner.

Run by the Qatari Businesswomen Association in collaboration with Interactive Business Network, the event will be conducted under the main themeof ‘Business Women and the New Age of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Social Responsibility’.

QDB helps develop local industries by supporting small and medium enterprises in Qatar. With a strategy that has been aligned to correspond with the Qatar National Vision 2030 plan, it aims to promote and facilitate the development and growth of small and medium enterprises in core economic realms, which would then result in long-term socio-economic benefits to the people of Qatar.

The contribution of women to economic success and development is no less than that of men - and that contribution extends into the community, where women play a vital role,” said Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of QDB.
