Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has been able to achieve a record in the results of the Audit of the Qatar civil aviation safety oversight system under the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP). The audit was conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) during which it assessed the capacity of the Qatar system to ensure the safety of the flights on the basis of international standards contained in the International Civil Aviation Convention (known as Chicago Convention) and its Annexes.
This is a clear indication of the effectiveness of the civil aviation safety system in Qatar within the challenging circumstances of the unjust blockade imposed on the State for more than two years.
The Qatar civil aviation system achieved an Effective Implementation (EI) of 91.16% according to the new set of Protocol Questions established by ICAO, which has been implemented from 2018. Qatar USOAP result is the highest score in the world against which implementation has been assessed.
In recognition of this exceptional achievement, the State of Qatar will be honored by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) President during its next General Assembly meeting to be held in Montreal / Canada in September. This is an addition to the achievements of the State at the international level.
