Qatar Airways is thrilled to announce its role as Official Partner to the sixth annual Ajyal Youth Film Festival, taking place at Katara Cultural Village from 28 November to 3 December 2018.

Featuring thematic tributes, a ‘Cinema Under the Stars’ event, ‘Creativity Hub’ activities and a red-carpet screening, the six-day event aims to unite young people aged 8 to 21 years by empowering and encouraging cultural dialogue through the magic of cinema.

The family-friendly event will also feature the annual ‘Ajyal Competition’, inviting young people to share their work with the aim of enhancing and encouraging support for the next generation of regional filmmakers and storytellers.

“We look forward to helping to inspire young people across Qatar in sharing their experiences and understanding of the world around them in a fun and engaging environment.”

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker said: “As the Official Partner to this important event, we are delighted to play a role in providing a voice to the next generation of storytellers in Qatar. We believe that art is a universal language that plays a vital role in uniting people from different communities, something which is central to Qatar Airways’ brand message of ‘Going Places Together’.
