The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has closed down an outlet for one month for selling and distributing electric heaters that do not meet Qatari standards and specifications.
A total of 426 heaters were seized during surprise raids by inspectors from the ministry.
Samples of the heaters were sent to Standards and Specifications Authority for checking their specifications, the ministry said in statement yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning said it removed 29 abandoned cars and conducted 93 inspection campaigns last month in areas under Al Rayan Municipality’s jurisdiction.
