Oryx Rotana, a five star luxury business hotel in Doha owned by Qatar Airways and under the supervision of Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC, has announced the appointment of its new Executive Chef Sanguk Lee, overseeing all dining venue as well as hotel catering and private events. His proven culinary achievements will bring a unique breadth to the award-winning hotel.
Originally from South Korea, Chef Lee brings more than 20 years’ of international experience to his role. He graduated with a degree in hospitality management from London Metropolitan University and worked in reputable hotel chain like the Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, properties based in London, Ukraine and Oman to be specific.
“I'm excited about the opportunity to bring our customers’ dining experience in Qatar to the next level,” said Chef Sanguk Lee. “I want to re-energize our kitchen and our restaurants by further enhancing our guest experience. My aim is not only to attract more guests but also to preserve Oryx Rotana’s patrons.”
Lee started at the Oryx Rotana early in 2015 and will take over for former Executive Chef Rainer Muller, who accepted a position at the Amwaj Rotana in Dubai, UAE.
