Oryx Rotana Doha, Qatar’s Leading Business Hotel, participated in the first hospitality sector career day for Qatari nationals, hosted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to join the organization with a wide range of careers in hospitality on offer. These included positions in Human Resources, Finance, Front Office, Sales and Marketing, Security and Information technology.

Oryx Rotana’s attitude to its colleagues is commendable as the organization genuinely cares for its associates, treating them as part of the Rotana family. Oryx Rotana welcomed Qataris who share the company’s passion for authentic Qatari hospitality. In a fully engaged workplace, future Oryx Rotana associates can expect to benefit from a rewarding career path, in which they can develop their special talents to achieve their personal and professional goals in hotel management.

During the Career Fair, numerous Qatari candidates presented themselves for interviews for the many available posts. The key message for the day was for them to take on board Qatari candidates that can show the world what true Qatari hospitality means.

On this occasion Jwainat - Director of Marketing and Communications at Oryx Rotana said: “This is the first time Oryx Rotana participates in such event dedicated to provide job opportunities for Qataris in one of the fastest growing sectors and prevalent in the State of Qatar, which reflects the growth of the country.

We are not different from the local companies, in spite of being a global brand, but we are owned by Qatar Airways the official national carrier of the State of Qatar.

We support the recruitment of Qatari young talents and the new generation that are looking forward to representing their country in the hospitality sector.

During the past few years, the hospitality sector has attracted a small number of Qataris, and what we aspire is to have the finest of our young generation who will represent their country and give the best impression for the hotel visitors. Our participation in the career day comes from our faith that there are no better people to run the tourism industry in Qatar than the nationals themselves. They know the country and they can see the potential of growing with it.

We hope through this day that we achieve what we aspire to attract the largest number of Qataris to work with us and to honor the State of Qatar in this sector.

Career opportunities for Qatari are always open and not restricted to today’s career day. Our Human Resources Vision is to be the preferred employer by sourcing potential candidates, providing job security and career enhancement through training and development and creating a sense of belonging and loyalty within Rotana Hotel's team.”
