More customers than ever before are actively using and topping-up their data allowances in Qatar today, as the range and availability of mobile Internet options increases.

To support this trend, Ooredoo continues to expand the wide range of options to top-up data, as well as boosting data allowance with the new Hala and Shahry Smart packs.

Qatar has the highest percentage of smartphone penetration in the region of almost 75 percent, with 40 percent of smartphone owners connecting to the Internet to watch videos, download applications and play games online, according to new market research.

One of the most popular options for topping-up is Ooredoo’s range of Mobile Data Scratch Cards. These simple and convenient credit card-sized top-ups have become one of the most popular Ooredoo services in recent months.

The range includes cards that offer 250MB of data for just QR 20; 1GB of data for only QR60; 3GB of data for QR80; the popular 6GB for QR100 and 15GB for QR 200. The cards are available at any Ooredoo Shop or Ooredoo authorised dealer.

Customers can simply purchase, scratch, reveal the activation code and follow the instructions on the card to enjoy their data boost to access the Internet, download apps, stream movies and more.

Data is valid for 30 days once activated, and customer can use more than one scratch card during this period.

Ooredoo customers benefit from Ooredoo’s bigger, faster network, which has seen significant upgrades in recent years. The company was the first and is currently the only company in Qatar to offer 4G+ services, which can deliver high speeds.

The company achieved nationwide 4G coverage in 2014, in addition to launching 4G roaming services so that customers could enjoy the fastest speeds when they travel abroad.
