Ooredoo Expands its Self Service Machine Network to Katara and Hamad International Airport

Ooredoo today announced the inauguration of two of its next generation Self Service Machines (SSMs) at Katara cultural village and Hamad International Airport (HIA), as the company continues to offer easy access and convenience to all its customers.

The new state-of-the-art SSMs will soon be primed to enable customers to instantly register and purchase preloaded Hala SIM cards, and also pay outstanding bills via cheque, as well as offer a host of services available on the current generation of SSMs.

As part of Ooredoo’s strategy, the company is placing these high-tech, next generation service points at key locations across the country, to reach the widest possible audience, and also to showcase Qatar’s deployment of cutting-edge technology. The SSM placed in Katara will be seen be a high number of tourists, while the HIA will be accessible to thousands of families and business travellers throughout the year.

Ooredoo has located the new SSMs at an easily-accessible locations, so that services are available around the clock. The HIA SSM is in the departures area, so that residents can pay their bills and upgrade their services before they leave the country, and enjoy a stress-free trip.

These new SSM were launched at the end of 2014 on a trial basis and are currently available at strategic sites across Qatar including Souq Waqif and Ezdan Mall. By using the new SSM, customers will soon be able to conveniently access and perform a host of services that are normally only available at an Ooredoo Shop.

This is the latest update in a series of SSM improvements, as Ooredoo offers more options for customers to keep up-to-date with their daily services and aims to provide an enhanced customer experience.

In addition to registering for services via the Ooredoo SSMs, customers can also pay Ooredoo Shahry and Kahramaa bills, top-up Hala accounts, donate to charities and purchase vouchers for an incredible range of shopping and dining experiences for popular brands in Qatar.
