According to information on the Qatar Customs website, all incoming parcels and personal mail whose value does not exceed QR 1,000 are exempted from customs duties, based on what is stated in the unified customs procedures guide.
This means that any incoming parcels and personal shipments to Qatar whose cost, insurance and freight (CIF) value exceed QAR 1,000 will be liable to pay 5% customs duties. effective from 6 May 2021. These new customs duty charges will be automatically calculated upon your shipment released.
Prior to the new regulations that became effective on 6 May, 2021, 5% customs was only paid on incoming parcels and personal shipments whose CIF value exceeded QR 3,000.
