H.E. Akbar Al Baker, the CEO of Qatar Airways Group in an interview with 'Squawk Box' on CNBC at the Farnborough air show on 18 July 2022.

He said Qatar Airways has proved itself to be a reliable airline during the COVID-19 pandemic and nearly $1.5 billion immediate refunds were made to passengers who couldn't travel and offered opportunities to change tickets/routes amounting up to 500 nautical miles without any additional charges.

He also talked about the rising travel demand with airport staffing issues and the ongoing dispute between Qatar Airways and Airbus and its possible impact on the airline’s future plane orders including the two parties' court battles.
