Ooredoo Passport, which offers 100 roaming minutes for receiving and making calls and 1GB of roaming mobile data and an extra 1GB of roaming data in GCC, gives businesses an affordable and measurable way of ensuring that travelling employees stay in contact when abroad.

With an estimated 88% expatriate workforce in Qatar, many of whom take their annual leave during the summer, as well as many residents choosing to travel after the Eid break, the demand for roaming data and minutes has risen significantly in Qatar in recent years.

The Ooredoo Passport Card, which was introduced last month, provides an immediate way from people to top-up their roaming data and minutes allowance during the summer travel season. Passport Card works with both Shahry and Hala.

Ooredoo makes it possible for businesses to order multiple quantities of Ooredoo Passport Cards via their account manager, so that these can be distributed across their workforce. Typically, these are being given to employees who travel frequently for work, occasional roaming users, and even as an incentive and holiday bonus for employees taking their annual leave.

As multiple cards can be activated at the same time, businesses can now provide employees with even more roaming allowance than ever before.

To make roaming experience even more convenient, customers can also top-up their roaming data and minute allowance instantly via the e-Top-up section in the Ooredoo App.

The cost will be added to the Shahry bill or will be deducted from the Hala credit balance. Customers can download the updated App for free via the iTunes or Google store now.

. The Ooredoo Passport allowance is valid for seven days. The Ooredoo Passport is available in more than 65 countries and customers can use their roaming allowance within Ooredoo’s Passport network of more than 165 roaming partners.
