International Bank of Qatar (ibq) and W Doha Hotel and Residences partnered again this year on several initiatives during the Holy Month of Ramadan as part of their community outreach to bring good cheer and hope to patients at Rumailah Hospital and Hamad General Hospital.

The collaboration saw the elderly at Rumailah Hospital in the Trauma Unit receive Iftar and a visit to the Al Maha Unit in Pediatrics at Rumailah Hospital where Azadea presented gifts of new outfits to all young patients donated by “Gymboree” kids fashion store. Finally, ibq and W Doha Hotel and Residences visited the children in the Pediatrics Wards at Hamad General Hospital to celebrate Garangaoo and distribute gifts to the patients and nurses.

Muhannad Kamal, Deputy CEO of ibq said: “We are delighted to collaborate with W Doha Hotel and residences once again on these social initiatives in the Holy Month of Ramadan, and we hope the visits brightened up the lives of both the elderly and young patients. This collaboration with W Doha and Gymboree is part ibq’s broader commitment to responsible corporate citizenship through CSR activity which has seen us support a wide range of social, financial, cultural, and sporting charitable initiatives over the years.”

Safac Guvenc, General Manager of W Doha Hotel and Residences, said: “It was a priceless moment seeing the children and elderly patients of both Rumailah and Hamad General Hospitals happy during our visit. It encourages us to do more and reach out to more; hence, we are continuously strengthening our partnership with ibq each year. With added programs and potentially more hearts involved, we are confident we can spread the value of sharing especially during Ramadan.”

Azadea Country Manager, Mr. Ara Artin, commented: “It is our pleasure to provide the kids in the Al Maha Units in Pediatrics at Rumailah Hospital with new outfits from Gymboree to cheer them up at this time, and hopefully bolster their spirits during their stay in hospital during the Holy Month of Ramadan as part of our CSR activity.”
