Grand mall open sixth hypermarket qatar

Grand Mall will open its sixth hypermarket in Mekaines, Qatar this Wednesday 25th May 2022, senior company officials announced at a media conference held on 23 May 2022 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Doha.

In the Press meeting, Dr. Anwar Ameen Chelat – Managing Director announced the decision to the Media regarding the opening of new Grand Mall on 25 May 2022 at Mekaines in the presence of Mr. Ashraf Cherakkal- Regional Director, Mr. David Ford- COO(Bin Yousef Group JV Partner) Mr. Mohamed NV- Director , Mr. Ajith Kumar- General Manager and other team members.

Grand Mall group’s expansion plan reaffirms Qatar’s status as a preferred country for expatriate workforce and tourists. Shoppers can easily access the group’s sixth outlet, conveniently located in Mekaines, Exit 37 Salwa Expressway that heads to Abu Samra. This new outlet with an area of 55,000 Sq. ft will be the preferred destination for the nearby residents as well as transit customers of Saudi-Doha, with ample convenient parking facilities.

“Our customers’ support validates our slogan ‘Grand Shopping, Great Values’ which has been our motto since the beginning of Grand Mall mentioned Dr Ameen. A postmodern approach to shopping and international standards ensures our customer's a high-class shopping experience every time. We believe we are Qatar’s go-to shopping destination as we offer products at reasonable and competitive prices.”

The Managing Director spoke about health and hygiene protocols followed by Grand Mall Hypermarkets in particularly during the Covid-19 Pandemic. “The pandemic affected retailers as well as consumers, but we prioritised the interests of citizens and residents. We did not let the crisis deny the demands of our customers. We ensured health, safety and hygiene standards after several pilot tests. We developed a sanitised, hygienic method to deliver products by installing advanced foodstuff packaging facilities in all regions to supply touch-free, high-quality eatables, lentils, spices, and other products.”

Dr. Ameen thanked the government and local authorities for their support. “Qatar Government’s initiatives and policies have helped us boost our business ties in the various nations”.

Dr. Ameen reiterated Grand group’s strategy of alliance with partners across the world. “Co-operation with local producers and businesses keeps us rooted to the foundation of our values. We have our own specialised permanent sourcing team located in different countries. We also have specialised team for procurement of items directly from fresh farms on daily basis. Dr. Ameen announced the Grand’s huge expansion plans for the next 5 years in Qatar. The upcoming new opening of three more outlets at Al Aziziya, Umm Garn, Umm Al Amad this year will extend more service to our valuable customers and will create new job opportunities to expatriates and residents.
