Grand Heritage Doha Hotel and Spa will be celebrating Food Revolution Day by preparing healthy and natural menu options at the buffet offered by ‘Flavours’ restaurant. The menu will include oriental and occidental choices.

Grand Heritage Doha Hotel and Spa’s participation in this event is yet another milestone for the hotel, placing Qatar on the World Food Revolution Day map. On Friday, May 16th 2014, guests are welcome to enjoy a spread of fresh food prepared from all-natural ingredients. The hotel hopes its approach for the day will encourage guests to think about their food selections and help bring attention to its effects on their health, gearing them towards making a real change in their culinary habits.

Food Revolution Day is an initiative by famous food enthusiast and cook, Jamie Oliver, who has hosted and created numerous television cookery programs. On Food Revolution Day, diners have the chance to celebrate REAL food – 100% naturally produced and free of artificial additives. The day is regarded as an opportunity for the international community to join hands in exchanging information, talent and resources to raise awareness on global food issues through events at schools, restaurants, local businesses and others.

Commenting on the hotel’s participation, Mr. Zeid Talhami, Director of Sales & Marketing said: “Grand Heritage Doha Hotel and Spa is pleased to participate in Food Revolution Day for a second year in a row. We fully support healthy meals with the freshest of ingredients, which we will be providing to our guests. Grand Heritage Doha Hotel and Spa always strives to provide the best to its guests, and this is an opportunity to prove that delicious food can be healthy and 100% natural. Food Revolution Day was well received by our guests last year, and we are looking forward to even a better outcome this year. ”

Guests will be welcomed to join the hotel in its awareness for healthy food at ‘Flavours’, the hotel’s elegantly décored restaurant. Reputed for its delectable international and Arabic buffet, the restaurant features a wide variety of popular dishes and sought after desserts. Additionally, ‘Flavours’ brings an element of excitement to the dining experience by providing guests with the opportunity to watch talented chefs cook live as they enjoy their evening.

The Grand Heritage Doha Hotel and Spa is part of the Grand Heritage Group, a chain of luxury hotels around the world. It opened its doors in Doha in mid 2011 and is located by the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence. The hotel has since been an important presence in the hospitality industry in Qatar, both aesthetically and by measure of its services.
