The first conference on 'Developing Partnership between Public and Private Sectors will kick off on July 7, to bring companies and businessmen together with government departments to review the prospects for partnership between the two sectors and benefit from the most successful modern experiences in this field.

The conference seeks to pave the way to accommodate the views of the private sector in organizing the partnership between the two sectors and to accelerate the pace of understanding and applications of laws related to this matter, as the conference hosts experts and specialists to introduce the formulas of the partnership and prepare the private sector to benefit from the next stage.

This conference comes in light of the State of Qatar's adoption of the first law regulating the partnership between the two sectors, and within the efforts aimed at benefiting the private sector from the law when its implemented next month.

Speakers from prestigious international organizations participate in the conference, in addition to participants from the public and private sectors in the State of Qatar to discuss partnership prospects in the State and the great opportunities created by the new partnership law.

H.E. Sheikh Dr. Thani bin Ali Al -Thani, Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee stressed in this regard that the partnership between the public and private sectors has become the main engine for business in the world, as governments seek to involve the private sector in development and financing infrastructure.

His Excellency noted that holding a conference in this regard represents a great opportunity for the Qatari private sector to get acquainted with the partnership models and international experiences in this area.

The conference also represents an opportunity for the public sector to present its perceptions of the partnership and the great prospects it opens up for the private sector to achieve the desired economic development, His Excellency added.
