Qatar fashion-conscious community can celebrate the arrival of the popular Spanishstreet-style fashion brand ‘Lefties’, which has opened its first store in the GCC in Doha’s new Mall of Qatar. The popular label belongs to Inditex Group, one of the biggest world’s fashion distributors, which is also the parent company of famous brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti and many more.

In celebration of the brand’s launch, shoppers and fashionistas gathered at the brand new store in Oasis area of the mall to be the first shoppers to lay hands on the label’s exciting collections featuring funky garments for all ages.

Local members of the media, bloggers, influencers and VIP guests were also in attendance to mark the opening of Mall of Qatar itself, the much-awaited shopping destination, which extends over 500,000sqm to offer outstanding shopping, dining and entertainment experiences.

The brand name Lefties takes its inspiration from the word ‘leftovers’ since the brand was originally founded in 1993 as a Zara outlet, stocking the giant high street brand’s old seasons garments. Following its success and market’s demand, Lefties started producing its own collections in 2012, transforming itself into a label in its own right and establishing itself as Zara’s lower priced sister label.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lefties to Qatar. We are very confident that the label’s trendy yet affordable womenswear, menswear and kidswear collections will do very well in Doha, thanks to the brand’s cutting-edge designs and above all competitive prices,” said Ara Artin, Country Manager for Lefties at AZADEA. “Moreover, as Zara’s lower-priced sister label, the brand is expected to stand out among the much-awaited Mall of Qatar’s vibrant line-up of fashion stores.”

Lefties has grown in the last few years to become an international brand, with a presence in five countries including Spain, Portugal, Russia, Mexico and now Qatar. The brand is also planning further expansion in the GCC over the coming months to offer its ‘BEST FASHION, BEST PRICES’ across the region.
